Amherst (NY) Central Schools contracted with Bitnetix to replace their licensed voice mail software with open source software and integrate it into their existing 250+ user system. Here's what they said about us.
Just a "thank you" for how the whole voicemail project turned out for us. Except for [updates], we never have to touch the operating system anymore! I was just reviewing the processes we went through for the integration into our existing infrastructure and dialing plan, and things worked out as well as we expected. Some of the curves we threw at you such as the separate needs for homework hotline call handling have worked out excellently. I have gotten very few calls from the staff for assistance since the cut-over this past summer.
I’m hoping in the next few months to buy some SIP wireless phones. At that point, it would be interesting to try to connect those to the Asterisk system instead of Cisco’s Call Manager just to see how that would work for us.
